Basic Fundamental Of Computer

Introduction of Computer

A Computer is an electronic device, which takes input from user, process them and provide meaningful result.

Full Form Of Computer

C = Common
O = Operator
M = Machine
P = Particular
U = Used For
T = Trade
E = Education
R = Research

Types of Computer

System of the Computer

  • CPU (Central Processing Unit)
  • Monitor
  • Mouse
  • Printer
  • Speaker
  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
  • Volt Gard

Types Of Computer Devices

  1. Input Device :- Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Joystick, Digital Camera, Micro Phone
  2. Process Device :- CPU ( Central Process Unit)
  3. Output Device :- Monitor, Printer, Speaker

Computer Memory

Computer memory is any physical device capable of storing information temporarily, RAM (Random access memory), or permanently, like ROM (read only memory)

Types Of Memory

  1. Primary Memory
  2. Secondary Memory

Primary Memory :- The main internal memory of computer system is called primary memory this memory is accessed directly by a computer central processing unit (CPU) The memory can divided into two types of memory:

  1. RAM (Random access Memory)
  2. ROM (Read only memory)

a) RAM (Random access memory) :- It's fast volatile memory. Ram is use in computer to store program or data that are accrued by user. It is divided in two types of RAM.

  • SRAM (Static Random Access Memory)
  • DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory)

b)ROM (Read only memory) Rom can read only it can't write any information into it. Its plus point about the Rom is it does not lose its content when the power supply is cut off. This is Non-Volatile

Type memory.

  1. PROM(Programmable Read only memory)
  2. EPROM(Erasable programmable read only memory)
  3. EEPROM (Electronic Erase Programmable Read only memory)

Secondary Memory :- Its where we can kept on a long-term like application program and data. Floppy Disk, HDD (Hard Disk Drive, Optical Disk etc.
